We're Expanding — Welcome Expect Coconuts

In 2023, Raro Pass was created to serve the business community of Rarotonga. The mission of connecting local businesses to tourists and locals alike hasn’t changed. But we’ve been approached by other island nations to bring our Raro Pass to their islands. There’s only one problem. Raro Pass is for Rarotonga. So what do we do?

We build a bigger organization. Welcome expectcoconuts.com. Because if there’s coconuts, we’ll be there.

What’s not changing

Raro Pass itself isn’t changing. The look and feel of the pass will stay the same. If you are currently holding a Raro Pass—awesome. Nothing is changing there.

So what is changing?

Our overall branding is changing around Raro Pass. The website will eventually become expectcoconuts.com. Our Facebook & Instagram pages will also be reflective of the new name.

You’ll soon be able to purchase a Raro Pass on Expect Coconuts under the Cook Islands banner. This will allow us to cross market to other island nations with Rarotonga and the Cook Islands. Someone who has used a pass in another country can also be cross promoted to showcase business in the Cook Islands.

Facebook’s parent company is Meta. Google’s parent company is Alphabet. Raro Pass’ parent company will soon become Expect Coconuts. A new, bigger company with the same local vibe.
